Paul "Kwickfish" Wasicka

Paul "Kwickfish" Wasicka is fresh off his winning glory at the recently concluded NBC National Heads Up Championship Heads Up - No Limit Hold'em poker tournament held in March early this year held at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Wasicka took home the $500,000 top prize.

25-year-old Wasicka started playing poker about two years ago and has already cashed six times at major poker tournaments, including a 14th place finish in a previous No-Limit Hold'em event at last year's World Series of Poker (WSOP). He was the runner-up to Jamie Gold in 2006 WSOP Main Event, winning over $6,000,000.

Wasicka's has had some success in other major tournaments, including a 12th place finish at the 2007 Aussie Millions (winning $96,000), and a final table appearance at the WPT LA Poker Classic where he finished 4th and won $455,615.

His poker nickname is "Kwick Fish" and used to9 work as bartender and restaurant manager before focusing on poker. Wasicka ranked #7 on last year's Player of the Year in Bluff Magazine.

Wasicka was born in Dallas, Texas -- and now lives in Westminster, Colorado.As of 2007, his total tournament winnings exceed $7,390,000.
