Shannon Elizabeth turned heads with her roles in the Scary Movie, Tomcats, and Cursed. She also appeared in That ’70s Show and appeared in Playboy and Maxim magazines.

If her name still doesn’t ring a bell, think of the name Nadia, Shannon Elizabeth’s role as the sultry foreign exchange student in the comedy, American Pie is hard to forget.

Well, here’s hoping her opponents at the poker table forget lest they start folding their winning hands in an effort to win the heart of the Hollywood pin-up girl, who for some reason, plays poker very very good.

Fresh from her appearance in the hilarious poker film The Grand, Shannon Elizabeth is now ready to take on real-life poker on a serious level.

This ‘Dancing with the Stars’ beauty is the most recent member of DoylesRoom’s celebrity roster. She is certainly a welcome addition to Team Brunson’s already potent mix of acclaimed poker professionals and card-playing celebrities.

But don’t start thinking Shannon Elizabeth was chosen for her beauty alone.

In the poker community, Shannon has been slowly making a name for herself having already competed in the World Series of Poker and being the first woman to advance to the semi-final round of the 2007 NBC National Heads-UP Poker Championship.

Team Brunson’s vigorous roster includes Doyle Brunson, (of course…) Todd Brunson, Eli Elezra, Chad Brown and Sam Grizzle.

Watch out for them in the 2008 World Series of Poker. Of course, with the additional of Shannon Elizabeth, male poker players have just been given another reason to root for the team.
