Online Poker Player Outlast Two Bodog Poker Pros In BPO Event One
Online poker player “rusostreet” outdone two of Bodog Poker’s top players in Event One of the Bodog Poker Open.
Over the next seven days, online poker players will be competing for huge cash prizes and major bragging rights in the inaugural Bodog Poker Open (BPO), the biggest poker tournament in Bodog history.
The inaugural Bodog Poker Open hosted its first event last night in the Bodog Poker Room. $26,063.50 was the first prize on offer and the prize pool swelled to $94,250 and then a further 10k thrown in by Bodog.
It wouldn’t come as any shocker that the usual Bodog suspects would be on hand to snatch the cash. Evelyn Ng, Josh Arieh and David Williams showed up as well as some of the best online poker pros. Think “Annette_15″ Obrestad, Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, Eric “Rizen” Lynch to name a few.
Ultimately Evelyn Ng and Josh Arieh made it to the final table but ended up in second and third respectively to take home $16,680 and $11,571.75. They were pipped by online player “rusostreet” who took the $26,062.50 first prize and his seat at the Main Event on Sunday. No doubt he’ll be trying to get his mitts on that extra 25K that Bodog will be throwing into the total prize fund too!
