Bodog Releases Odds For 2007 WSOP Main Event Final Table

The final table for the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event is set and gets underway at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas on Tuesday, July 17, at noon PST. Online Poker and Sportsbook, Bodog, has released betting odds on who will take down the event’s life changing $8,250,000 first place prize and coveted gold WSOP bracelet.

All nine players remaining will be first-timers at the final table and oddsmakers have picked Denmark’s Philip Hilm as the favorite at 14/5, followed closely by Tuan Lam and Lee Watkinson, both at 7/2.

Hilm, who has just over $150,000 in career tournament earnings, including cashes at the 2005 WSOP, enters the final table as the chipleader with 22,070,000 in chips. Hilms’ advantage is slight though with relative newcomer Lam close behind with 21,315,000 in chips.

Experienced poker pro Watkinson has only 9,925,000 in chips, less than half the amount of the chipleaders, but oddsmakers are obviously giving weight to Watkinson’s past tournament success in which he has netted more than $2.6 million in cashes and a WSOP bracelet.

The other finalists and their chip totals: Raymond Rahman, Johannesburg, South Africa ($16 million), Lee Childs, Reston, Va. ($13.3 million), Lee Watkinson, Cheyney, Wash., ($10 million), Hevad Khan, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., ($9.2 million), Jerry Yang, Temecula, Calif. ($8.5 million) and Alex Kravchenko, Moscow, Russia ($6.6 million).

Bet on Who will Win th 2007 WSOP No Limit TExas Hold’em Main Event and will be declared this year’s World Poker Champion.
