After 54 events and millions aof money prizes won, the 2007 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event starts at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas on July 6. With some 12,000 players flocking from around the world to claim their stake at that prestigious WSOP gold bracelet and multi-million first prize!

The first four days of the tournament from july 6th until July 9th, will be considered day one. Each day will start with 3000 different players. By the fourth day, day two will finally have begun as the survivors will then begin playing on the same days. Day two is scheduled for July 10th, with days 3-7 on the subsequent days.

That will lead up to an off day on July 16th, followed by the final table, which will begin at 12:00 on July 17th.

Officially, the tournament is event #55, and the buy in for the event is $10,000. ESPN will be taping the whole event, as it has all the events, and will air the tournament at a later date.
