Trishelle Cannatella Wins Trash Talk Championships
The name Trash Talk Championship may lead you to believe that poker at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas was down and dirt Saturday afternoon, but in reality it was all smiles, fun, and money for a good cause as celebrities and poker pros alike took part in the charity poker event. The $1,000 + $70 event drew more than 60 participants and helped to raise money for the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Should You Dabble or Specialize?
Every once in a while the age old debate resurfaces. The camps are as evenly distributed as any I’ve seen or heard of. It seems as though, almost exactly, half of the players I’ve talked with believe that you should specialize in one particular variety of poker in order to maximize your profit potential. The other half of players believe very firmly in the opposite strategy, they feel you’d be better off learning and becoming proficient in several forms of poker.
It’s a Tip, Not a Handout
When visiting Las Vegas, the culture of tipping can be pretty overwhelming, especially to those visiting from other countries. Tip someone for holding the door open, tip the dealer, tip room service, tip the lovely dancer. You need to have a pocket full of one dollar bills to go anywhere in the city. Sometimes it seems like too much, but as long as you understand how things work going in, you just deal with it and enjoy your day.
